Leo's Tacos Truck Information

If you're in Los Angeles and you're craving some of the best tacos in town, you have to check out Leo's Tacos Truck. This iconic spot is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, located at 5525 Sunset Blvd. Whether you’re heading out on a late-night snack run or just looking for a delicious bite during the day, Leo’s has you covered.

When you pull up to the truck, the first thing you’ll notice is the mouthwatering aroma that fills the air. The menu is packed with Mexican street food staples, but it’s the tacos that really steal the show. The al pastor tacos are a fan favorite, with tender, marinated pork that's perfectly charred on the outside, juicy on the inside, and topped with pineapple for a nice sweet touch. Each taco is wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla that holds everything together just right. And it’s not just the al pastor that shines-Leo’s offers a variety of other fillings, like carne asada and chicken, each as flavorful as the last.

The real charm of Leo’s Tacos Truck isn’t just the food but the overall vibe. It’s a no-frills experience where you get to enjoy your tacos on the go. The truck itself is simple, but the crowd it draws tells you all you need to know-this place serves up some seriously good food. Whether you’re grabbing a taco for yourself or feeding a group, Leo’s never disappoints.

Service is quick and friendly, making it easy to grab a quick bite even if you’re in a rush. And, if you're lucky, you might get to watch them prepare your food right in front of you. It adds to the authenticity and makes you appreciate the care that goes into each taco.

One of the best things about Leo’s is how affordable it is. For the quality of the food you’re getting, it’s hard to beat the prices. You can load up on a couple of tacos, maybe a drink, and still have change to spare. Plus, the fact that it’s a food truck means it’s easy to grab a bite when you're nearby, and they’re often open late, so it’s perfect for those late-night taco cravings.

Overall, Leo's Tacos Truck has built a reputation not just for its flavorful menu but also for its dedication to serving authentic, satisfying Mexican food. Whether you're a taco enthusiast or just someone who enjoys a great meal on the go, this spot deserves a spot on your must-try list when you’re in LA.

What People's Say About Place

So I've tried various tacos al pastor and this one's stand out. They cut into thin slices and the "trompo" is cut the correct way, meaning they slice off the first layer and then start slicing. Now for the flavor it was not bursting but was good. Wold I crave them I dont think. The California burrito was the bomb, got it with carne asada which was actually my preferred taco from there. I would recommend their carne asada taco and California burrito.

This Mexican food truck really stands out for the quality of its food. The dishes are delicious, freshly prepared, and full of authentic flavors. However, be prepared to wait — the service can be quite slow, especially during busy times. There are also very limited seating options, which makes eating on site a bit uncomfortable. Prices are on the higher side for a food truck, but the quality of the food is undeniable. Overall, great food, but patience and flexibility are required.

Food is always good here. And it’s usually quick service. I got the super burrito with carne asada. 7.5/10. I definitely think their tacos are the best thing on the menu.

California Burrito Rating (#20) On a mission to find the best California Burrito. Spot #20: Leo’s Tacos Truck The Burrito: They served me a big, hot California burrito. Its strongest point? It’s packed—dense, full of ingredients! The meat is tasty, the fries inside are crispy. However, I could barely taste any sauce or avocado inside. They provide salsas on the side, which are flavorful. Rating: 9/10 Service: Neutral, no-frills, strictly business. Nothing particularly warm or welcoming. Rating: 4/10 Atmosphere: The truck itself doesn’t create much of an environment. Just some tables and chairs nearby. Rating: 1/10

Great value and tacos! We ordered a few tacos and one chicken gordita, and while everything was enjoyable, the tacos definitely stole the show. The gordita had decent flavor, but the dough was a bit too thick and came off as heavy and slightly greasy. If you're deciding what to get, I highly recommend sticking with the tacos—especially the tacos al pastor. They're packed with flavor and well worth it! Be aware: there were quite a few bees around the outdoor seating area, so just be mindful if you're eating outside.

Food is great - awesome selection of meats. Tacos are small but cheap - double corn tortillas, 3 tacos is a good meal. Fixings bar is great - onions/cilantro, limes, 4 different sauces, cucumbers. If you are looking for great authentic tacos, this place hits. They say they are known for al pastor, which was pretty good, but the Asada and Carnitas were the clear winners for me. Dinner for 3 under $40, really can't bear it.

We stopped by for tacos yesterday and ended up really loving this place. We ordered tacos for two, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and honestly way better than we expected. The staff was very friendly and polite — they checked on us a couple of times and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, perfect for a quick bite. Overall, great spot for tacos. We’ll definitely come back!

This is some of the best beef tacos I’ve ever had. Would definitely come again very fair prices cash is preferred but they do accept card. It’s a taco truck nothing really else to expect but the food is like I said very delicious.
